Been watching a lot of Wolves lately and it's time to start jumping on them for bets, beginning in midweek vs Arsenal at home. They've dropped just one home game since march and it took a 88' strike by Heskey to do so. They're right at the bottom of the table but IMO they are much stronger than West Ham, Wigan, and Blackpool and the results are on their way. Consider they've just played Chelsea - United - City - United in a 2 week stretch and once Arsenal is out of the way they start a long streak of matches vs lower and middle table clubs including 4 extremely winnable home games.

In this last 2 week stretch they:

lost 2-0 at Chelsea despite playing on par with them all match
lost 3-2 at United with a stoppage time Chicarito strike to send them out of the cup 3-2
won 2-1 home vs Manchester City after being a goal down
lost 2-1 at United today in the 92nd minute after really being even for 80' and coming back a goal down

Arsenal will be a rough game even at home but will be worth a small try. The matches to circle on your calendar are:

Nov 13 vs Bolton
Nov 27 vs Sunderland
Dec 12 vs Birmingham
Dec 26 vs Wigan

these past two week have made me a Wolves believer though as a United fan I was real happy to escape with 3 today! <><>

i couldnt agree more. I had money on wolves +1.5 today and the draw at +465... really pissed i couldnt hit the draw, but i look forward to playing them in the future (they will have some very generous lines too IMO)

agree about this wolves team. a scrappy bunch that can hang around and is at the bottom of the table so we will see some lower lines for the most part.

in past 10 months only team to beat them by 2 at home was Chelsea 2-0. but, you're right...the Gunners have enough fire power to win easily but after squeaking by West Ham, losing in Ukraine, then losing at home to Newcastle they aren't playing very well right now. Can't disagree this is the most unattractive of the upcoming Wolves bets but I'll take my goal head start for a fairly small bet (2.5 out of max 10 units)

I would take anyone +1 vs Arsenal at the moment. They have been struggling to find the back of the net in the EPL... my biggest play of the weekend was Newcastle at +1.5 at +110... how easy is that i mean seriously Arsenal is struggling and is not capable of blowing teams out. They have been saved by last minute goals. I will have some money on the draw this midweek you can count on that

well, a brutal loss yesterday with arsenal scoring in first minute and last minute but now time to get serious...

Wolves -.25 5u +100 (home vs Bolton)

watched a good bit of match yesterday and, again, absolutely no quality difference between wolves and a top 5 club. now the nasty stretch of matches is done and time for wolves to start adding points by threes. Bolton are kings of the 1-1 road draw so will take the quarter goal vs the +130 for the straight win

I love angles like this. I remember Nijmegen in the Dutch league a couple years ago. They didn't do real well in the 1st part of the season but they put together a string of victories to go undefeated toward the last part of the season.

Thanks for putting this together.

wolves score at 23' and disallowed due to incredibly poor offside call by linesman which was impossible with sunderland player covering post. wow, team has no luck at all

the worst offside call you will see all year

another massive match for Wolves who've turned it on nicely since the thread started :)

Wolves vs Wigan
Wigan just 1 point in last 6 road games including crap teams live Everton, West Ham, Blackburn, and Fulham so no reason to think they'll get something the day after Christmas. Wolves with 2 straight home wins over Sunderland and Birmingham and a win here gets them out of relegation spot before the new year. Wigan least goals scored in EPL and least on road while only Villa have scored more home goals of any team in the lower half. Not getting the big odds like Birmingham and Sunderland but still well above evens...

Wolves +115

also worth noting that Wigan are without Honduran's Hendry Thomas and Maynor Figueroa who've both played in every match this season. They're suspended for the game and are 2 of only 3 players on Wigan to play in all 20 EPL and cup matches this year (Alcaraz is the other).

watched the match and was a tragic 1H performance allowing a goal off a misplayed corner and then another off a throw-in. really makes the west ham game a must win
